As a Sunshine Coast town argues over the planting of 'messy' bunya trees, vandals chop them down
Residents in a Sunshine Coast hinterland town are dismayed after several bunya pines were chopped down following a community dispute about the trees being planted.

The trees, which have Indigenous significance, have been the source of angst in the Kenilworth community.
Ian Mackay is chairman of the Mary River Catchment Coordinating Committee and condemned the "vandalism".
